Abstracts:  The report summarizes the responses to the issue of inclusive education as a policy and practice. It is based on the discussions generated on a discussion forum organized by Solution Exchange on Inclusive Education and Child-Friendly Schools. Responding to the query, the members discussed the importance of inclusive education, practical issues related to implementing this policy and different strategies for achieving truly inclusive education. The report states that in a country like India, where large dropout rates and teacher absenteeism persist, inclusive education could help embrace all marginalized groups into the folds of the educational system. However, the policy makers will have to address the problems of attitudes and quality of learning to ensure effective implementation of the policies.
