“The development that is taking place is not systematic or well planned. Yes, development is inevitable but before developing any region everything should be planned and prioritized according to the needs and requirements of locals and somewhere there is a lack of this in development policies.
There have been changes in infrastructure development like roads and transport, education and also in food production. These facilities were earlier there only in a few areas. I want to see changes in basic infrastructure like electricity, information and communication technologies etc. Modern technology is a very important and crucial tool but replacing manual labour with technology is not the answer so locally relevant technologies are needed.
We are now exposed to other cultures and traditions. Tourist and people from faraway countries, areas and states come here and try to learn from our culture and traditions. The other aspect to development is that youngsters are blindly following their culture and are on the verge of forgetting their own culture.” |
