“High levels of pollution are changing the weather pattern. There is nil to very little snowfall compared to previous years, which affects our crops adversely. The temperature of the region is also increasing rapidly. These changes have not affected our lives much now, but in time they surely will.

Because of certain development projects there is a decrease in the greenery that were around us and an increase in pollution levels. The rainfall and snowfall patterns have changed. Due to certain development projects atmospheric humidity is affected. The water level of chashmas (spring) is decreasing which after a period of time will become completely depleted. When ongoing development projects get completed they would lead to decrease in the availability of water in the rivers. This would affect our crop production. There are also various health problems due to pollution.”
