Its key focus area is conducting a variety of training programs for in-service teachers drawn from all over India to provide better understanding and appreciation of the philosophy, aesthetics and beauty inherent in Indian art and culture and focuses on formulating methodologies for incorporating a culture component in curriculum teaching. It also plays an active role in awareness generation among students and teachers about their role in the preservation of cultural heritage.
