The National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum focuses preservation, development and promotion of handicrafts and handlooms, with special focus on India’s rural and tribal arts. The museum’s key activity includes the Crafts Demonstration Program where craftsmen from all over India are invited to demonstrate their craft and find new market opportunities, Education Program where students of art colleges are exposed to India’s rural artistic heritage and research and documentation on Indian arts, crafts and textiles.
