The National Handloom Development Corporation Limited, a Government of India Undertaking, Ministry of Textiles, focuses on the promotion and development of the handloom sector. It conducts business of buying, stocking, marketing, controlling and distributing all kinds of yarn for the benefit of handloom sector, procurement, stock distribution and setting of all kinds of raw materials, dyes and chemicals required by the handloom sector, manufacturing, purchasing, stocking, selling and exporting of handloom fabrics, while also supporting and promoting the marketing of the same through other means, extension of aids and assistance, and implementation, of relevant projects and formulation, organization and control of multi state handloom production and processing projects.
