A non-profit organization working in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, the Gorkha Dukha Niwarak Sammelan conducts and organizes various cultural activities, such as musical contests, rock show of Nepali songs, etc.  It works for the promotion of Nepali music (both folk music as well as modern one), Nepali literature, Nepali drama, etc. Apart from promoting the culture of Nepali community, the organization works for the promotion of the culture of other ethnic communities of Darjeeling, as well, such as Lepchas, Bhutias, etc.
