Mahila Samridhi Yojana is an integrated scheme for women Empowerment, which is based on formation of SHGs for improving access of women to micro-credit & involvement of women in local level planning.

Empowerment of socially, economically Backward Women through awareness generation, economic empowerment by convergence of various schemes.
Strengthening & institutionalizing the saving habit in rural women and their control over economic resources.

In addition to empowering SHG members by federating and networking, strong pressure groups for empowerment/rights will be formed.

Project Implementing Agency (PIA): -

1 Any appropriate agency may be governmental or Non-governmental Organization;
2 District or Block or panchayati Raj Institution;
3 To benefit of women with formation of SHGs;
4 To create self reliant and sustainable institutions which prioritizing women’s needs and bring their social and economic empowerment;

Elements: -

Mobilizing the community women about their rights for family, community and local government, which enhanced their access and control over material, Social and political resources.
Institutional Framework for formation of Self-Help Groups, which lead to creation of confidence, and awareness among members of SHGs regarding their status, legal rights, health, hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, socio-political & economic upliftment.
Community should be oriented on innovative interventions regarding women empowerment issues.
