  Scheme of Financial Assistance for Preparing Young Professional in Rural Areas

Description/Purpose:

The Young Professional (YP), scheme was introduced in CAPART in 1988 with the main objective of inducting professionalism in the development sector. This was done by recruiting post graduates from disciplines related to rural development viz. social work, forestry, agricultural engineering, marketing, etc., and subsequently placing them with organisations such as DRDAs, NGOs, Ministry and CAPART offices. The selection of the candidates is done through campus interviews from various institutions located across the country.

 
Particulars:

NGOs may take following initiatives for the selection of rural youth:  May contact Middle & High School of the selected Block. The Field Worker(s) may prepare the list of local Rural Youth by conducting House-hold Survey of the selected target area.
