To provide financial assistance at concessional rates of interest, for undertaking viable income generating activities, to the Scheduled Tribes upto double the poverty line annual income level under following different schemes. a) Term Loan Scheme b) Adivasi Mahila Sashaktikaran Yojana (AMSY) c) Self Help Groups (SHGs) d) Micro Finance e) Marketing Support Assistance In addition Grants for imparting Training/ upskilling the Target Group is also provided.

Financial assistance is provided through the concerned State/UT channelising agency of NSTFDC/ Public Sector Banks i.e. Syndicate Bank, Vijaya Bank, Dena Bank, UCO Bank and Union Bank/ Regional Rural Bank i.e. Vananchal Gramin Bank, Tripura Gramin Bank, Dena Gujarat Gramin Bank, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank and Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank having MoU with NSTFDC.

i) For individual(s)/ Self Help Groups(s) [ except Co-operative Societies]
a) All applicant(s)/ member(s) should belong to the Scheduled Tribes community and
b) Annual family income of each of the applicant/ member should not exceed double the poverty line income limit. (presently limits are Rs. 39,500/- p.a. for the rural areas and Rs. 54,500/- for the urban areas). This limit is revised from time to time by the Planning Commission of India.

ii) For Co-operative Society (ies): Minimum 80% or more members should belong to Scheduled Tribes community and annual family income of each of the member should not exceed double the poverty line limit. In case of change in membership, the said Co-operative Society shall ensure that percentage of ST members does not fall below 80% during the currency of loan.
