The scheme provides comprehensive risks insurance against yield losses viz. Drought, Hailstorm, Floods, Pests Disease etc. The Scheme is being implemented by the Agriculture Insurance Corporation of India (AIC). The farmers of the State can get benefit of this program |

The State Government has introduced this Scheme from Rabi 1999-2000 seasons. Crops covered are Wheat, Barley, Maize, Paddy and Potato. Subsidy in premium is allowed to Small and Marginal Farmers. The Scheme is compulsory for loaned farmers and optional for non-loaned farmers |
