| Description/Purpose: |
The scheme was launched in January 2002. SC, ST and backward area farmers are eligible under this scheme. The Department of Horticulture provides various incentives in the form of assistance to various categories of farmers for helping them take up horticulture under its different programs. |

| Particulars: |
Subsidy on horticulture production inputs at 25% to small farmers, 33.3% to the marginal farmers. Subsidy on pesticides and plastic crates at 50 percent Subsidy on corrugated fiber board cartons for the packing of the fruits at Rs.8 per a 20 kg etc Subsidy on mushroom trays, mushroom compost, pesticides and plant protection equipments for mushroom cultivation at 25 percent to the small farmers, 33.3 percent to the marginal farmers (for garden colony and individual orchard) and 50 percent to the Schedule caste, Schedule tribe. Various services are also provided like,
- Supply of Fruit Plants and elite plant material from registered Govt. and Private nurseries;
- Supply of horticulture inputs;
- Establishment of new orchard (Individually or as Garden colony).
Under hops cultivation advanced training in this type of cultivation and plant material & other inputs are provided. |
