Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) was announced by the Honble Prime Minster on 15th August, 2001.

The funds under the scheme are distributed between the Zila Parishad, Panchayat Samitis and Gram Panchayats in the ratio of 20:30:50.

Priority would be directed towards provision of wage employment to the poorest amongst the poor, women, SC/ST and parents of child labour withdrawn hazardous occupations.
