Environmental Improvement of Urban Slums (E.I.U.S.I/National Slum Development Programme (HSDP) was launched in Himachal Pradesh during 1982-83 and was being implemented by TCP Department till 1998-99. The scheme had been transferred to the Directorate of Urban Development during the year 1999-2000 for further implementation. This programme falls under Special Component Plan (SCP) on which 50 per cent budget is being utilized every year.
