This scheme is aimed at the development of manpower and infrastructure related to biotechnology in the State.

This is both state and central sponsored scheme to be carried out by the department of Science and Technology. Emphasis is laid on the provision of short term biotechnology fellowships and conduct of seminars/popular lectures in biotechnology.One can avail this scheme by applying for the same as and when the department takes out advertisements. The fellowship shall be awarded once in a life time.

i)The applicant should be a permanent resident of J&K State
ii) The applicant should possess 1st class Masters Degree in any branch of science related directly with Biotechnology
iii) The applicant should be below 40 years of age as on first day of the calendar year in which the notification is issued
iv) The candidate should be holding a regular position in a recognized S&T Institution, Laboratory, University or College within the State
