The scheme seeks to provide financial assistance to the promising entrepreneurs and generate more employment opportunities. It also aims to help in furthering the government’s policies and efforts for the development of minorities.

Under this scheme, small loans are provided to members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) through different NGOs. The NGOs may directly apply in prescribed format, which is available at the office of West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC).

The NGOs applying for availing the scheme must be in operation for at least three years, have sufficient previous experience in Micro-Finance and a good record for repayment of loan.
