“A lot of buildings have come up in our locality. Drinking water and transportation facilities have improved. There has also been some development in the transport and health sector. There is a road to this village now and community health centres have been set up.
To produce electricity we need hydropower but that again is unhealthy for our culture and traditions. Explosives used during the construction process damage the local area. The adjoining areas and the spring water get polluted due to this as well. I have seen a decrease in the availability of natural resources. I hardly come across the birds and the red bears that I used to earlier see.
Efforts should be made to reduce the use of vehicles, control pollution, promote the use of solar energy in order to save our environment and reduce the use of pesticides and insecticides. ” |
