"In the past we used to spend our time weaving or knitting but now they are being replaced by T.V. etc. I feel there have been changes in the fields of agriculture, beliefs, clothing, food habits and also in the environment. Some good changes I feel are in electronics, education, communication and also the end of the caste system, which prevailed, in the old days.

The new generation is educated, and enthusiastic about new things, technologically they are much more advanced than we are. They have mobile phones, they have motorbikes or cars to travel, T.V. to watch news and entertainment from all around the world. I think every one should welcome this but at the same time I feel that they should not forget the value of our rich culture, they should be proud of our ancestors, they should honour traditional beliefs.

The present and future generations are very lucky. They do not have to work the way we had to in the past. Rather they are educated and can face the outside world with confidence."
