Description/Purpose:

The aim of the scheme is to minimize the incident of maternal mortality and morbidity. This scheme has a definite potential to reach out to the vulnerable groups in order to improve the health status. It seeks to ensure that the poorest and vulnerable section of the community gets the maximum benefits from the public funded health system.

 
Particulars:

The scheme gives choice to the pregnant women of the BPL families and all SC/STs, to avail service provided by empanelled private health care system during child birth either normal or complicated delivery. The empanelled facility will be reimbursed to which they get fixed rate for the deliveries and the payment will be made for a batch of 100 deliveries.

Under this scheme, beneficiaries will not make any payment for the service availed by them, only the have to submit their BPL/JSY/MCH card and certificates of SC/ST, certified by Gram Panchayat. Gram Panchayat also be the certifying authority for their status of Schedule Caste (SC) or Schedule Tribe (ST).
 
Beneficiaries:
The pregnant Women from all SC/ST families.
 
Eligibility criteria:

The pregnant women need to have BPL/JSY/MCH card and Certificate of SC/ST from Gram Panchayat. They should be registered with the ANMs and at least three antenatal check ups at the sub-centers or any of the other public health facilities.
