Material: Leather.

Use: It is used to hold and revolve the 'trugma' during separation of butter and Lassi from curd.

Material: Wood
Description: This is a wooden container with a lid, usually having colourful designs.
Use: It is used to store 'Tsampa' (roasted barley).
Used by: It is indigenous to the people of Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir but has also been in use in the Lahaul valley of Himachal Pradesh, India in the western Himalayas.

Shu-Gu
Material: Pale white fibre extracted from the plant Daphne papyraceae, locally known as ‘Shug-sheng’.
Description: This is local handmade paper.
Use: The Monpas of the Eastern Himalayas have practiced the art of paper making since time immemorial. It was used for inscribing Buddhist scriptures and also as wrapping material. However, now the ‘Shu-gu’ paper is rarely in use.
Used by: The people of Monpa tribe in Arunachal Pradesh, India, in the Eastern Himalayas.

Description: This is a narrow mouthed earthen pot.
Use: It is used to store ‘Chhang’ (local liquor) for maturing. It is usually kept out in the sun or near the hearth for this purpose. Sometimes, it is also used to fetch water.
